Our Dojo
Plymouth Ryukyu Kobujutsu / Kobudo & Karate-Jutsu is part of the Yuishinkai Kobujutsu USA (YKUSA) organization in the USA.
The aims of YKUSA are to instruct and promote the martial art teachings of the late Master Gansho (Motokatsu) Inoue in the USA. Inoue O'Sensei studied Karate-jutsu under Yasuhiro Konishi, Ryukyu Kobujutsu (Kobudo) under Shinken Taira, and not least of all, Bujutsu under his lifelong mentor Seiko Fujita. Today carrying on this tradition is Hanshi Kisho Inoue who is the President of both Yuishinkai and Ryukyu Kobujutsu Hozon Shinko Kai (RKHSK) which are based in Tokyo, Japan .
The Chief Instructor of YKUSA is Colman Fink who is also Branch Chief in the USA for both Yuishinkai and RKHSK. He has been graded yondan level (4th dan) in both Yuishinkai and RKHSK and teaches in Wareham MA and Plymouth MA. Colman Fink also teaches Tai Chi (Taiji), Qigong and Daoyin.
